‘Love it’ – Rangers coach sends message to Gers star after international strike

Rangers coach Michael Beale has taken to Twitter to show his appreciation of Gers star Joe Aribo after his debut goal for Nigeria in last night’s friendly draw with Ukraine.

Aribo earned his maiden call-up to the squad after his impressive start at Ibrox and it took only 4 minutes for the midfielder to announce his arrival as he scored a neat finish from inside the area.

The Gers coach shared a video of Aribo’s strike on his personal Twitter account, saying “love it” as he applauded the midfielder’s well-timed run and finish to complete a swift attacking move from the Super Eagles.

The Nigerians took a 2-0 lead against their hosts but late goals from Manchester City’s Oleksandr Zinchenko and Roman Yaremchuk of Gent pulled drew them level.

After a difficult afternoon in the recent Old Firm defeat, the boost of making his international debut and grabbing a goal will be massive for Aribo.

With a Scottish Premiership clash against Livingston before the Gers host Feyenoord in the Europa League group stage, it’s set to be a hectic spell for Aribo.

Aribo has really impressed since signing from Charlton over the summer and has already scored four times for Rangers – leading to his call-up for Nigeria.
